I have created this course for Wine Lovers who want to learn about Winemaking and Tasting, but don't have the time (or funds!) to follow a long term study program. Maybe you are a wine enthusiast, or maybe you work in a restaurant or run your own bar, or maybe you want to set up your own wine party business? I have condensed a ton of information and the principal notions about wine and tasting in this brief course of just over an hour, divided into 4 videos (plus a short introduction), you will learn how grapes are grown, how wine is made and how to carry out a tasting (sensory analysis). I wish something like this had been available when I started out in the wine business. It is the summary of all the information I had to gather from many books, an expensive course, professional tastings, receiving guests at the winery where I am a guide, and talking to expert winemakers and farmers!

A simple project is also included

What you need for the course.

At least one nice stemmed, plain (not coloured) glass (with a tighter rim than bowl) Two would be better, one for white and one for red, but not essential.

At least a glass of freshly opened dry white wine of your choice, preferably one you don't already know well.

At least a glass of freshly opened dry red wine of your choice, preferably one you don't already know well. Both at the producer's recommended serving temperature.

A room with good natural light without any strong odours.

A note pad and pencil or a couple of print offs of the tasting note sheets that you received as a PDF.

That's it!!

Optional, but that you can do at a later time if you like: lemon juice, sugar-water, salty water, a couple of drops of glycerin, or watered down Vodka (This is for a little experiment, but not essential to our main lesson).

Avoid brushing your teeth or eating mints just before the lesson, and wearing perfume, or drinking coffee immediately beforehand.

Please respect your country's legal age limit for drinking alcohol.

What my students say:

'This class exceeded my expectations! Very informative class! As a total wine muggle I picked up a lot from this course. I would highly recommend this class to anyone who wants to learn about wine."
